What is the difference between onCampus and Schoology
Schoology will remain McQuaid Jesuit’s Learning Management System and should continue to be used for viewing student classwork, messaging teachers, and calendar events.
Our Student Information System, onCampus, has been configured with a parent portal to make online report cards available to you. An added bonus to onCampus is a view of your son's daily schedule.
I am a parent and I am having trouble logging in to my parent account on Schoology
As a parent you should be logging in to Schoology from https://app.schoology.com/login. You can access this link from the parent portal of the McQuaid Jesuit Website. Be sure to connect your login with the school by searching for McQuaid Jesuit, Rochester NY in the list suggestions. You may be prompted to log in through learn.mcquaid but that is how students login not parents.
When logging in to the schoology App, parents should click on Continue in the blue bar and enter their email and password on the next screen. Students log in through the school.

I am a parent and I cannot remember my password for Schoology. The password reset is giving me an error message.
Parents who do not have an email address associated with their account will not be able to reset their password using the Forgot your password link. Contact the Help Desk at email@example.com so we can look at your account and add a retrieval email and a temporary password.
I am no longer receiving email notifications from Schoology
If you are no longer receiving notifications from your groups, go to Settings under your name. Look at the Account Settings and find your email. If there is a message to verify your email, click the link to verify it. Now go to the next tab, Notifications, and check all your settings. Don’t forget to click on Save! It will take 24 hours for any change to notifications to take effect.
I have a child in another school that also uses Schoology. I am having trouble logging into the second account. Can I link my accounts so I can toggle between the two?
Yes, if you have multiple Schoology accounts you can link the accounts to toggle between them. By keeping both accounts and linking them together, you can access all content from a single location.
Follow these steps to combine your parent account:
- Click the arrow next to your name in the upper-right corner of the Parent account you want to keep as your primary account (you will be using this account to log in to Schoology)
- Click Settings
- Scroll near the bottom of the Account Settings page and click Link Accounts
- Enter the Email or Username of the parent account at the other school
- Enter the password for the other parent account
- Click Link Account to complete
You can now toggle between your children’s accounts.
